Upcoming live-action movie “Kid Does Not Understand” (literal title). The drama series is based on manga series “Kodomo wa Wakatte Agenai” by Retto Tajima and directed by Shuichi Okita (“The Mohican Comes Home“). The film will follow high school student Minami Sakuta (Moka Kamishiraishi) and her school mate Shohei Moji (Kanata Hosoda). They try to find Minami Sakuta’s birth father and also become first loves. Filming for the movie took place from July, 2019 to August, 2019. This is director’s Shuichi Okita’s first live-action action film adaptation. 
 
“Kid Does Not Understand” will be released sometime during summer, 2020 in Japan.
